About Me: I accidentally stumbled across running on April 29, 2017; a day I’ll never forget. I was preparing for OCR (Obstacle Course Race) & I need to get back into shape. So out of nowhere I signed up this race called OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon/Commit To Be Fit 5K with little no training and or knowledge whatsoever. Little did I know that race changed everything & haven’t looked back yet.
Running has changed my life in so many ways, I can’t even imagine it. Without this running community, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Every time I go out for a run, whether in a group, by myself and or race day it's something I don’t take it for granted.
I told myself going into 2026 I wanted to start giving back to the running community & being a part of M3S Sports ambassador program is something I’m SUPER excited for! Looking forward to seeing you all out there at starting line!

About Me: I started running to bring movement and exercise back into my life. It began when my kids were toddlers, and I set a goal to run a race each month. While I no longer participate in races every month, I still run consistently—and it’s made an impression on my kids. They used to ask if I had won when I came home with a race medal. I loved telling them that simply finishing was a win for me.
I'm definitely not the fastest—far from it—but running has become a meaningful part of my journey toward a healthy life, one that includes time outdoors, community, and regular exercise.

Favorite Running / Walking Tip: Find you why. If you don't know why you're doing something, you'll be far less motivated to train for it. When training gets difficult, remind yourself of why it was important for you to train for a race in the first place, and you'll find you can finish any challenging run!
About Me: I initially started running during the pandemic to help me lose weight and get outside. After losing a sizable amount of weight and feeling more confident in myself, I found myself just really enjoy the positivity to comes with running and being around other runners. Whether it is a race or a group run, you'll never find a more positive group of people than runners. They are truly my people.

About Me: I’ve been running for 10 years. I started doing it for my physical health, but realized how great it was for my mental health as well. I enjoy all distances from 5K to half marathons, and I’ve completed over 130 races. I love the running community in Columbus…no matter what your distance or pace, they’re always there to cheer you on.

I started running at 37 years old in 2008, and in the last 15 years, I have completed over 60 races including 9 full marathons, a half Iron Man, 15 half-marathons, 5 200-mile relays, 4 Pan Ohio Hope cycling rides (328mi), and 2 Pelotonia rides. I’m working towards my goal of completing 26 full marathons, including all 6 of the Abbot World Majors. My go-to running accessories are NUN electrolytes (also a NUUN Ambassador), Asics, Shokz headphones, Oakley glasses, and Ultimate Direction hydration belt. I’m always easy to spot running the trails in New Albany in my signature headbands!

About Me: I first laced up my running shoes thanks to my brother, a former Army Sergeant, and I haven’t looked back since. I ran my first half marathon in 2018, and I’ve kept the tradition alive every year—number eight is just around the corner at the Grandview Yard Half! This fall, I’m taking on an exciting new challenge: my first full marathon!
“Hey Erin, will you run this race with me?” has become a common question my friends ask me and I absolutely love it! Encouraging others to join in these fun, community-driven events has only deepened my love for the sport. Whether you're running or walking, I truly believe every day is a great day to get outside and move your body!
Originally from Pittsburgh, I made the move to Columbus in 2023 to work for the Blue Jackets. I may be a little biased, but the 5th Line 5K is my favorite M3S event—it brings together both of my communities, and offers such a fun running environment and awesome course!
When I’m not running, you’ll probably find me cheering on my Penn State Nittany Lions or Pittsburgh Steelers, reading a good book, flowing through a yoga class, or exploring the outdoors!

Favorite Running / Walking Tip: When you get tired or start feeling 'meh' during a run, think about pushing off the ground instead of just picking up your feet - its literally the same motion but changing your thought process can help pull you out of a rut and feel super strong!
About Me: Hi folks, I'm Erica! Proud crazy cat lady, book lover, and way too into Halloween (seriously, I'm getting married on Halloween 2025). I started running when I was 12 years old in middle school track (I was one of those crazies who LOVED the 800 for some reason) and have been a runner on and off ever since. I completed my first half marathon at Cap City in 2014 and started triathlon ~3 years ago.
Staying active is super important to me and I rely on my workout regimen to stay on top of not just my physical health, but my mental health too. As someone with anxiety, running has become a safe place for me where my mind can actually let go & enjoy some endorphins instead of worrying about every little thing.
That being said, I'm also not super strict about my training plans - I try to remember that exercising is something I GET to do, not something I HAVE to do so I'm a big supporter of skipping a workout if you don't have time, need a day off, or just want to eat some cookies instead if that's what you need!
I am incredibly pumped to join the M3S Ambassador team and can't wait to share my run/walk/swim/bike/nap journey with you!

About Me: Hi! My name is Erica, and I’m thrilled to be back for my third year as one of your ambassadors! I’m a proud mom to a 24-year old son, who will soon be playing basketball overseas. You might catch him running a race or two with me. I work in Human Resources for the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. I love Prince, sunflowers, and dancing - even if I’m not always on beat! I began running in 2015 as a way to lose weight, but I soon discovered that running offered just as many benefits to my mental health. I often run with Easton Run Club, and am a run lead and Sole Sista Ambassador for Black Girls Run! When I’m not crossing the finish line, you will often find me volunteering - at race packet pick-up, handing out medals, or cheering on fellow walkers and runners. I represent the middle/back of the pack crew and am not built like your typical runner. I run with joy and purpose-especially for those who’ve been told running isn’t for them. I am deeply committed to showing that walking/running is for everybody - regardless of age, size, or pace. What started as a personal goal quickly grew into a lasting passion for movement, community, and representation on the pavement.

About Me: I’m a newer runner who’s found purpose and connection through the incredible race experiences organized by M3S Sports. What I enjoy most is being part of something bigger than myself. Beyond race day excitement, it’s the ongoing learning, mutual encouragement, and shared passion within the running community that keep me inspired. Whether it’s cheering someone on through social media, pushing limits together on group runs, or simply not giving up when the miles get tough—this journey is all about collective support and showing up for one another. I regularly run with the Columbus Westside Running Club, the RunColumbus Race Series, and I’m part of helping to start a new run club at Nationwide Children’s where I work.

About Me: Hey, I’m Caitlin! I was a volleyball player from middle school through freshman year of college and fully bought into the adage that running was a punishment, not a sport. Once I graduated from college, I knew I needed something to keep me active, so I set out to run around the block of our house and it’s been smooth sailing ever since. That’s a bold-faced lie. My first attempt at running the .67 miles around our block was a huge failure and when I tried to do it again the next day, I swore off running forever. Thankfully I have a bit of a stubborn streak, and I wasn’t going to let running have the best of me, so I started a couch to 5K to see if I could do it. Thirteen years later I’m still running, and I fully embrace that it’s become my personality.

Teresa first started running as a soccer player, and post-college, the half marathon became her favorite distance. Although she is learning to enjoy the occasional solo run with an audio book, she much prefers running with friends and often joins group runs with her Shred415 Sawmill or Columbus Running Co run buddies. In addition to running, she enjoys hiking, walking, and exploring the Dublin/Columbus running trails, capturing it all for @LivingFitColumbus. Teresa is a teacher, photographer, wife, and busy soccer/hockey mom... but continues to make her fitness & mental health a priority mile after mile.

My name is Chris! Your friendly neighborhood superhero runner! I'm a former high school athlete who took some time off and decided at the end of college to half marathon. The first race I ever did outside of track just so happened to be 2012 Cap City Half and it's been a wrap since (10-year Cap vet!). I enjoy training hard during my training blocks, but when it's race day, motivation and fun will always come to the forefront. My rule of thumb is we are all in it to cross the finish line together, so let's make the best of our hard work and enjoy every moment!!

About Me: Hey, I’m Morgan and this is my second year as an M3S Sports Ambassador, and it feels extra meaningful this time around. My running journey took an unexpected turn this year when I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and Trigeminal Neuralgia just six weeks before the Boston Marathon. In May I underwent brain decompression surgery.
The Run Wild 5K was my first race post-op, and now I’m officially on my comeback tour. I’m a 6-time marathoner, 2x World Major finisher, with number 3 loading... Tokyo March 2026.
My diagnosis has changed how I view movement and community. It’s made me passionate about creating adaptive and inclusive spaces in the running world, because everyone deserves to feel like they belong at the start line.

About Me: My name's Amy! I'm a 31 year old runner who just finished up my goal to run a half marathon in every state and am now tackling a new goal to run in every National Park with my husband!

About Me: For a very long time, I never thought I would complete any type of race. In fact, I specifically used to say there was no chance you'd ever catch me doing one because I have been overweight and unhealthy most of my life. In 2017, I registered for my first 5K ever. It was the inaugural John Glenn International Runway 5K. I was addicted from there. I have since completed 28 races varying between 5Ks, 4-milers, 10Ks, a 20K, and a half marathon. I had RNY Gastric Bypass Surgery on November 27th, 2023. I was nearly 500lbs before starting on that journey. Through OhioHealth, I have learned proper nutrition, exercise, and more. I was diabetic and had high blood pressure, both of which are gone now.
Since my surgery, I have completed a few races, but most notable.. I set a PR for a 10K and completed my first ever half-marathon, which was the Cap City Half on my birthday in April of 2025.
I am mostly a walker during these races and one of my goals is to properly learn how to run and run them.
Kathy Kapes
Kathy started running in 2012 and crossed over into the triathlon scene in 2017. Over the years has completed 22 half marathons, seven full marathons, and four 70.3 events. In 2019, she became an Ironman in Maryland and says it was an experience like no other. She works with a coach year-round and looks forward to crossing the finish line at her next Ironman. Kathy describes herself as a ‘back of the pack’ athlete and she gets her money’s worth out on the course. She loves helping others achieve their goals and has done that by being a pacer at events. She races with positivity and gratitude, sets big goals, and works towards achieving them. Of course, we can’t forget that she is an avid Buckeye fan. Go Bucks!

About Me: My name is Amanda. I am passionate about physical fitness and I love to run! My favorite distance is the half marathon. My running journey began in 2018 as I made a commitment to better my health and overall wellness. Since then, I have run many places, many paces, and many races (7 marathons and 14 half marathons)! My running highlight thus far was the 2024 Big Sur International Marathon.
Outside of running, I work as a school psychologist. I enjoy cooking, grilling, and can be easily distracted with a great bowl of guacamole, some tortilla chips, and a Paloma!
If you are new to running, thinking about that first 5K or half marathon, there's no better time to commit than now!

If I could sum up my personality into three words, it would be running, skincare and tequila! All things that I find enjoyable and provide balance in my life. I picked up distance running in college as a stress reliever from organic chemistry classes; I never would have expected this hobby to turn into gaining a whole new supportive community, 3 full marathons and 12 half marathons. I have learned so much about myself over the years through these races and I am excited for what is to come! Cheers to faster race times and post-finish line tequila!

The Hoover Reservoir and surrounding area is one of my favorite locations to just throw some shoes on and go.

Favorite Running / Walking Tip: Most of your training should be done at a comfortable pace. It took me a long time to learn that you’re not supposed to go as fast as you can on every walk/run!
About Me: Michael lives in Grove City and started walking in the fall of 2020 as a way to improve his health. On his first walk, he completed 3/4 of a mile in about 25 minutes. Today, he has lost 175 pounds and has completed more than 50 half-marathons and four full.
While initially very intimidated at the idea of entering races, Michael has experienced nothing but support and encouragement from the running community.
That is also why Michael enjoys M3S races - they are for everyone! Fast, slow, runners, walkers, experienced, first timers - everyone will feel welcome, will feel comfortable, and will have a lot of fun at an M3S event!
Michael’s favorite race is the OhioHealth Capital City Half-Marathon because the course allows him to pass all of his favorite locations in Columbus and because he does the race with a group of friends - and 13.1 miles doesn’t seem as far when you do it with friends!
If you see Michael at a race this year, make sure to stop him and say hi!

About Me: I started running just 10 minutes a day during the COVID lockdowns as a way to stay active and clear my mind. What began as a small daily habit quickly turned into a passion. Over time, I pushed my limits, increasing distance and consistency. Now, I'm proud to say I run full marathons and continue challenging myself with each race.
Andrew Queler
Andrew started running in 2011 after deciding he didn’t want to be 225 pounds anymore. Over the years he’s worked his way down to 175 pounds and continues to enjoy running and racing whenever his schedule permits, as he’s a local small animal veterinarian. He appreciates the friendships that he’s made over the past 8 years in Columbus and the extraordinary running community. Andrew believes that M3S produces the greatest events with the greatest swag all year round, spanning January 1st with the First on the First 5k, all the way through December with the Jingle Bell Run. It’s the perfect motivation to keep his running on track all year long and he feels forever grateful. Andrew is also a member of the free Columbus Westside Running Club (CWRC) and loves running every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday with a group of amazing people, from runners to walkers.

About Me: I am so incredibly excited to officially join the M3S family! I got back into running in 2020 after I had my son, and was diagnosed with Hashimotos. I was determined to get back in shape and get my thyroid under control. I signed up for a 10 miler and began to train, and found my first run club that welcomed me with open arms. 5 years and 4 marathons later, the rest is history! I have found such joy and made so many incredible friends through this sport, I simply cannot imagine life without it. I am married and have a four year old son, three dogs and a horse. I also compete as an amateur equestrian in the Hunter/Jumpers. It’s such a great way to cross train for running. In my spare time from work and family life, I also like to volunteer at the Franklin County Dog Shelter and participate in their run club with the shelter dogs, and sit on the Board for Private School Pups, a non-profit that provides funding for shelter dogs to receive professional training in hopes of getting them off the euthanasia list. I have run two of my marathons with ALS Association, a cause near to my heart. What a privilege it is to be able to go out to run and moves our bodies. Here’s to an incredible year with the M3S fam!

About Me: M3S Sports played a significant role in my fitness journey. I was always a person who did not enjoy running or exercise I did not have to do.
In August of 2023, my father passed away from complications related to his fight with Multiple Sclerosis. He was a runner prior to his diagnosis many years ago. Before he died, my youngest son promised my dad he would run the Columbus Marathon. With no training, he did it in 5:30. I watched him cross the finish line and said to myself, I can do more! I signed up for the next race I could find that would provide completion. It was the M3S Sports Blue Jackets 5k. I did it and it was very hard! I was so impressed with the event that I signed up for the next one. It was the Cap City Half. I did it, I was completely wiped out after the event. I then stopped training and competing.
Then in October of 2024, I was lead to treat my body the way it deserves to be treated. I loved walking, and made that my exercise on a regular ongoing basis. I changed my diet and ended up losing 43 lbs in 101 days. That included several M3S events and my life was forever changed.
By definition I’m a power walker and my best walking 5k is 11:49min miles and my fastest Half is 13:01min miles. M3S has given me back a competitive edge that has become an addiction and has carried over into every part of my life. I desire to help other 50+ year olds leave the couch, get out walking and set race goals and improve their times every race.
M3S played a significant role in me becoming the man I am today!

About Me: I started running 19 years ago and it helped me lose 80 pounds. Ever since then I have been an avid runner. I’ve run 2 marathons and too many half marathons to count plus tons of other races. I have been a member of MIT since I moved to Columbus seven years ago and last year I took a part-time job at Fleet Feet which I absolutely love. Working at Fleet feet gives me the opportunity to talk about my passion for running and walking. The sport has given me so much including friends and self-confidence. I have volunteered for M3S for several years and it’s just something I enjoy. If I’m not running a race, I love cheering for the people who are!

About Me: I am a born, raised, and stayed Columbus girl. I love our city!! My life is busy and wonderfully full between being an entrepreneur, wife to Marc, and Mom to Marin, a collegiate tennis player, Tucker, a high school power lifter/golfer, Tripp and Milo the goldendoodles.
torrechadwick is my brand that focuses on living life colorfully and boldly, finding joy in the everyday and loving life through sport, fitness and healthy lifestyle.
I have been an athlete for the majority of my life, tennis being my main sport and great passion. I found the gift of running in my late-30s and have since completed many half marathons, the very first being Cap City, and completed my first full marathon in 2019.
I am very active within the Columbus running community and am a Coach with Marathoners in Training (MIT). When I am not running, I am on a tennis court taking lessons or hitting with my daughter. I am a member at Lifetime Upper Arlington where I weight train, and every so often hop into a yoga class.

About Me: I’ve been actively running since 2015, and I absolutely love the Columbus running community. I’m currently the chapter leader for the Columbus, Ohio She Runs This Town.
I currently reside in Canal Winchester with my husband, Chris, and our Australian Shepherd Lucy. She is a rescue and we absolutely love her! My twins, Zach and Brittany, are grown and living their best adult lives. Several people in the Columbus running community may know my son Zach. I was his inspiration to start his running journey in 2017. I made it look like so much fun! And I hope to continue to inspire not only him, but everyone I know and some I don’t know that may watch me from afar.

Aaron Tucker
Good Morning, Good Afternoon and Good Evening. My name is Aaron Tucker but I go by my nickname TUCK. I am that loud (in a good way) energetic person that you will find at run clubs throughout the week and at races just enjoying the energy of the community and helping with keeping the vibes high on race day!
I started living the running lifestyle in 2021 and it has been nothing but amazing to me from the connections that I have made with amazing people, being able to run in races from a 5k all the way to a full marathon. Since 2021, I have ran in 6 half marathons and 1 marathon. Running is truly my therapy both mentally & physically that keeps my life going in a positive direction. I’ll see you at the starting line and let’s continue to help inspire each other in this amazing community of runners/walkers! GEAH GEAH!
Allison Tuttle
Originally from Northern Virginia, Allison moved to Columbus, OH in 2015. She played basketball and lacrosse throughout childhood and used to dread running, as it oftentimes was 'punishment' for a bad play, dropped pass, or missed shot. That is until one day when a friend asked her to apply to the NYC Marathon lottery... and they got in. Allison trained all summer leading into her junior year of college and quickly developed a passion for the running community, but just weeks before race day she was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases and was told to immediately stop all activity because her body was in crisis mode. Once her health stabilized and she found a healthy balance, Allison slowly began increasing her mileage and ran her first half marathon in 2013 and in 2015, nearly a year after her daughter was born, Allison completed her first full marathon. The moment she stepped across the finish line, she swore that she would never run another 26.2, but that wasn’t true. Since then, Allison has completed 10 full marathons, 2 24-hour endurance events, dozens of half marathons, countless shorter distance races, and has no plans of slowing down. Aside from running, Allison enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, reading, cooking, taking HIIT classes, traveling back to the East Coast to visit her family, and working as an Event Planner.

About Me: Swiftie, Cook, On- Radio Personality, Runner, and Trivia player(mostly there for vibes 😂). I lost 140lbs over the last 9 years through cooking, running, and refusing to let my love for snacks outrun me. I’m not fast, but I show up — and I’ve somehow convinced multiple friends and family members to join me at the starting line (and yes, they still speak to me). When I’m not planning my next race or playlist, I’m traveling with my partner and our four chaotic, loving dogs who definitely think they run the house.
Shelby Watkins
Shelby is a dog mom recently promoted to a girl mom and the Assistant Manager at the newest Metro Park, Quarry Trails. She is admin for her local chapter of Moms Run this Town and loves strength training and running trails! Shelby stayed active in High School by playing soccer but didn’t really get into running till her junior year of college when her roommates asked her if she wanted to run a half marathon. She’s been hooked ever since completing several full marathons, countless half marathons, a duathalon, a few Ragnar relay races and a 50k!

About Me: I began my running adventure in 2010 when my best friend (who is a seasoned runner) convinced me that I could do a half marathon despite the fact I only played contact sports in high school and college and never running more than 3 miles up to that point. I completed my first half on my 29th birthday the next year, finishing on the track at Historic Hayward Field in Eugene, OR where the Olympic Trials are held. Despite thinking I might die (and at one point wishing for it as we climbed a large hill towards the end), I was hooked on the sport and began racing regularly. Since then, I have run 26 half marathons, 1 full marathon, 8 15Ks, and more 5k and 4-mile races than I can count (including every 5th Line 5k and Ohio State 4 Miler).
Julia Wiseman
Julia’s running career began in high school when she ran on the cross country and track teams. She first fell in love with the social element of the sport and then developed an appreciation for the other benefits. After high school, Julia coached cross country and track at the middle school and high school levels for 8 years. In her mid-twenties, she had the desire to race again - she ran her first half marathon and then her first full marathon after her daughter was born and now can’t get enough. Through the journey of training for each of these races, Julia has become convinced that the benefits of running and fitness extend far beyond physical results and she is passionate about sharing these benefits and helping others achieve their goals. In the fall of 2021, Julia joined TeamRunRun as a personal trainer and run coach. Racing has a way of showing us to never place limits on ourselves and M3S provides such a spectacular experience!
